Representing over 14,000 individual human resource professionals, the HR Florida State Council is the state affiliate for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  HR Florida is a 100% volunteer entity consisting of 28 SHRM affiliated chapters across the state. Our primary objective is to support the mission and initiatives of SHRM. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation Announces HR Florida State Council as Top Fundraiser for 2016


Tampa, Fla. – Feb. 15, 2017 – The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation has announced its top fundraisers of 2016. HR Florida State Council took the top spot in the country for state councils, while five state chapters landed in the Top 25: SHRM Jacksonville (No. 7), Greater Orlando SHRM (No. 13), HR Collier (No. 19), Big Bend SHRM (No. 20) and HR Tampa (No. 25). SHRM has more than 575 affiliated chapters nationwide.

HR Florida State Council named Top 10 Fundraising State Council
March 4, 2016- HR Florida State Council was named a Top 10 Fundraising State Council for their outstanding support of the SHRM Foundation in 2015. State Council leaders will attend a luncheon in their honor during the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition in Washington, DC, this summer.
“Thanks to the generous donations from HR Florida State Council, the SHRM Foundation is able to deliver scholarship to future leaders, advance HR research, publish complimentary educational resources, and move thought leadership forward,” explained Mark Schmit, SHRM Foundation’s executive director. “With 50 state councils across the county, being named a Top 10 Fundraising State Council exemplifies the dedication of HR Florida State Council to the Foundation’s work of shaping the future of HR.”

April 8, 2015 — The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recently awarded the HR Florida State Council its prestigious EXCEL Platinum Award for HR Florida Council’s accomplishments in 2014. The award is part of the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence, which aligns individual chapters and councils with SHRM’s goals. The award recognizes accomplishments and strategic activities and initiatives that enhance the human resources profession.
